Afterwards, we took off to the boat ramp jetty area. I managed to hang a cute small mouth off the rocks.
Chad finished strong with 3 mentionable sand bass off the large jetty at the boat ramp area. Next week we have a trolling motor again!

Is that normal size for a smallmouth bass? It certainly isn't tiny, but it looks like it could grow a couple more inches. Maybe I am getting it confused with another fish.

That second pic shows the lure I caught the smallmouth on. It was only 4-5 inches long. Small, but my 2nd smallmouth from Hefner, so I was happy. They really don't get very big compared to largemouth bass.
