Late night postings of the day's catch.

Decided to post this a little late while it's fresh in the mind. We were able to pull into a few fish today, despite the wind. After trolling our usual, we decided to go to some calmer waters. In a short amount of time we had a small walleye. Unexpected because of the shallow area we were fishing, but we'll take what we can get. Then a second walleye. This time it's a keeper.

By the end of the trip (which was cut short due to trolling motor issues), we landed 3 walleye and 1 largemouth. Maybe not a lot, but it was still good times! The more we go, the better we get at tracking down these Hefner fish.

Where is your favorite place to fish at Hefner? Any place you'd recommend for catching panfish?

Wow. Late reply, but the south end fishing pier is usually fine with very small hooks and bits of worm. or even very small panfish jigs. Bring light tackle for some fun!

TIP: If you use a bobber with a jig, use the smallest bobber you can.
